The BUILD Initiative works with early childhood leaders within states and nationally to better prepare young children to thrive and succeed. We support state leaders from both the private and public sectors as they work to set policy, offer services and advocate for children from birth to age five.

Children’s Hospital Colorado-Parenting Classes

Parenting. There is a lot to it. No one knows your kids like you do, but sometimes you need a quick tip, a new idea and maybe a little support to get past the fussing and on to the laughing, growing, learning and living. That's where the experts at Children's Hospital Colorado can help. Children's Colorado is committed to providing a full range of pediatric services, often including services not available anywhere else. Our parenting seminars are one way we are able to share our pediatric expertise with you and your family. Admission to the Parenting Seminar Series is FREE, but space is limited!  

Children’s Advisory Network

Children̍s Advisory Network has been a Colorado non-profit since 1995 and is focused on providing high-quality speech and language services that meet your children̍s needs to excel in life. We provide year round private in-home or in-school therapies, Safe Ears Screening Program in schools to catch any vision, hearing or speech issues that a child may have, hippotherapy and a summer Pony Camp. All services are provided with a qualified speech and language therapist with a flexible schedule. We accept all clients that have Medicaid, CHP+, some private insurances and private pay clients.

Child Find

Every school district or Boards of Cooperative Educational Services (BOCES) have professionals who are trained to evaluate children in a variety of areas, including cognitive functioning, physical functioning, hearing and vision, speech and language and social and emotional development. This service is referred to as Child Find. Evaluations are conducted by the Child Find team at no cost to parents. Once the child find evaluation team, which includes the parents, has gathered sufficient information used to determine a child's eligibility for early intervention or preschool special education services, an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP; birth to three years of age) or an

Child and Adolescent Health Measurement Initiative - Developed and maintains a number of quality measurement tools and strategies that assess the quality of health care provided to children and young adults. Their Data Resource Center for Child and Adolescent Health (DRC) advances the effective use of public data on the health and health-related services for children, youth and families.
